On Saturday, September 22, there will be a celebration to honour and remember Amy Jardine at the Blackville Municipal Park from 3:00pm until 6:00pm. Donations will be accepted and will go towards the Amy Jardine Memorial Fund. T-shirts will also be available for purchase for $15 with proceeds also going to the fund. There will be musical entertainment by friends of Amy and local artists, face painting and an end-of-season BBQ. A 50/50 draw will be held.

James M. Hill will be hosting their second annual “Tommie Homecoming” at 6:00pm on Monday September 24th . It’s a new tommie twist on the traditional “Meet the Teacher” evening! The Little Southwest Baptist Church in Sillikers is hosting a Missions Festival, Friday September 28 - Sunday, September 30th with services each evening at 7 pm. Saturday, September 29th at 9:30 am Help us raise funds by gathering pledges and awareness for those in our community living with Autism. There will be a photo booth with Adam Barry, a jumping castle, balloon artist and even a BBQ by donation. Come to support your local Autism Resource Center and stay for the Pumpkin Fling. The Knights of Columbus Council 8381, in Nelson, will be holding their monthly funding raising breakfast on Sunday, 30 September 18 from 8:00AM to 1:00PM in the Seniors Hall located at 26 Sutton Road.
