Due to the horrific tragedy that occurred on the weekend, The Rotary Club of Chatham has cancelled the Wine and Beer Tasting Gala that was to be held at the Rodd Miramichi on Saturday night April 27th . We thought it totally inappropriate in the midst of the grief blanketing the Miramichi to hold this event. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends affected by this tragic accident. The Knights of Columbus Council 8381, in Nelson, will be holding a benefit breakfast on Sunday, April 28th from 8:00AM to 1:00PM in the Seniors Hall located at 26 Sutton Road proceeds to help Frank Hanley with medical expenses. Cost is $6.00 for adults or Take-Away (622-1010), $4.00 for children and a Family Rate is $15.00.
