Donations for MV Bible Camp Yard Sale (Oct 19)
Miramichi Valley Bible Camp yard sale is back. October 19th 8 am to 1 pm. If you have anything you would like to donate, start gathering it all, we will be accepting donations the week of October 14-18th. There will also be a table of new beautifully handcrafted knitted articles. You can play a part in helping MVBC impact young people through summer camp by donating and supporting our yard sale.

Freshly made turkey pies will be made in mid-October for you to take home and bake or freeze right away. Pre-order your pie(s) by leaving your order on Seamen's Hospital answering machine 778-2349. Leave your name, phone number and number of turkey pies you want. They should be ready Oct 23 and 24th. We will call you. Pre-order soon to avoid disappointment.. They're still a bargain at $12.00 per pie.

Nelson Rural School 26 St. Patrick's Drive Monday, November 11th 11 AM Memorial wreaths ($45) or crosses ($40) for the service can be ordered by calling 836-7978 no later than Friday, November 8th. Wreaths & Crosses may be picked up at the school on Remembrance Day. Cheques should be made payable to Branch #10 Royal Canadian Legion

Wednesday, October 16th 1:30 p.m. St. Andrew’s United Church, 188 Wellington Street, Miramichi. There will be a guest speaker from Region 7 Hospital on Volunteerism and the need for it. A light reception will follow. All are welcome!

Registration is at 10 am with the walk beginning at 11 am. A celebration for walkers will take place immediately following the walk with refreshments. Funds raised will help grant heartfelt wishes to children aged 3-17 diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. Words on Water and the Newcastle Public Library are launching a series of artwork by Gloria Savoie as part of the Miramichi Literary Trail. Saturday, October 19th at 2 PM Newcastle Public Library, Miramichi, There will be an exhibition, readings by Wayne Curtis, the recipient of this years Lieutenant Governor’s award for literary arts, Doug Underhill, Chuck Bowie and members of Words on Water. Refreshments will follow. This is a free event and all are welcome.
