May 20th, Speedway Miramichi presents Spring Smash. With Street stock, Mini Stock and "run what u brung" classes on the card as well as the demo class. Flag drops at 5pm and grandstands open at 4pm. Don’t miss out on the excitement of a full night of entertainment at Speedway Miramichi, 85 McKinnon Rd. Admission adult’s $17.25; youth 8 to 17 $11.50; children 7 and under free. Pit gates open at 3pm. Pit prices are $23 and all prices include HST.

The Miramichi Branch of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society will hold a meeting Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 6:15 p.m. at Chatham Public Library. In respect for Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day, we will be asking members to tell us a bit about their parents. Photos welcome! This meeting will be the last meeting before the summer events. We will be updating members as to events, dates and our participation in them. All welcome.

Creative Grounds (55 Cunard St.) Saturday May 27th. The art exhibit is ongoing all the day, and the musical performance begins at 6:30 pm. The musical performance is at 6:30 pm and is a showcase of songs from the locally written production Stillwater: A Musical. Although the production is selling tickets, the Saturday night of May 27th at Creative Grounds is free admission and showcases the production's locally written music and is being performed by local artists.
