The Pound is having a FUNDRAISER this SATURDAY JUNE 2nd at 10 AM to help the Miramichi Community Suicide Prevention Committee RAISE MONEY to bring Suicide advocate and motivational speaker Kevin Hines to Miramichi on October 25th. NB Fish Days on the Miramichi! June 2nd Kids aged 14 and under and their families are welcome to this youth-centered event. Fishing will take place at Wilson’s Point (behind the Enclosure campground) from 10AM-2PM. There will be a free BBQ and beverages served for all those registered. The MVHS Drama Club presents an evening of award winning one act plays. The Velveteen Rabbit, Some of My Best Friends Are Smiths and The Winter of 1917 were the winners of 26 award at the 2018 NB Provincial Drama Festival and promise a night of high calibre theatre! Saturday, June 2nd and Sunday, June 3rd Tickets are $10 at the door. Showtime is 7PM.

Annual Summer Community Kitchen Fundraiser, Gospel Concert St. Andrew's United Church, 188 Wellington Street, Miramichi Sunday, June 3rd at 7:00 p.m. Featuring The Villagers, Chloe Furlong, Blair Baisley, Donna & Tyron Hubbard, Gerald Doiron, Colleen Furlong, Bill Hachey, Claire & David Young and Susan Butler. Admission is a free will offering and there will a reception to follow.

Spaghetti Dinner Benefit at Douglastown Community Church 302 Big Ferry Road Friday June 8th 4:30pm to 7pm. There will be a take-out option available. The cost will be by donation. All proceeds will go directly to the Miramichi Emergency Centre For Women.  The goal is to raise $3000. Please come help us make a safe and cozy room for all the women of Miramichi!
