There will be open mic music jams this Wed, May 6th at united Church Hall in Blackville ; and in former Chatham at Knights of Columbus Hall on King Street( May 7th ) both 6:30 starts . Free lunch included with an entrance fee of $ 5.00 .Bring and instrument or just come in and sing or have a dance and a cup of coffee .

Royal Canadian Legion Br 10 Newcastle will be hosting it's next crib tournament on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Registration starts at 12 noon with game play at 1 pm sharp. Teams of 2 at $20 per team. $2 buy in for Progressive High Hand. There is also a 50/50 draw. All over 19 are welcome to come play.

The MVHS Drama Club presents and ENCORE run of John Van Druten's I Remember Mama, a gratifyingly sentimental play which shows how Mama, with the help of her husband and Uncle Chris, raises a family in their modest San Francisco home during the early years of the 20th century.
