The North Shore Mi'kmaq Tribal Council will be hosting an Indigenous Recruitment Fair on Friday, February 10th from 10am-4pm at the Natoaganeg Band Hall. This event will connect job-seekers, students, and professionals with potential employers and educators. There will be snacks and door prizes. RSVP by visiting nsmtc.ca/recruitment-fair. Tuesdays 1 pm to 3 pm Auction 45s is the game of choice. Masks are optional for fully vaccinated folks. Proof of two vaccinations is required to show at the door. Folks who are not fully vaccinated will not be admitted. This reflects the Province's Public Health recommendations concerning prevention and the lack of social distancing which is experienced at card games. We hope to see you there.

Wednesdays, 9:30 to 3:30 pm. Everyone welcome. Bring your lunch, $3.00 for the day, your current or new project, enthusiasm and perhaps a plan to teach or learn something. Chatham Head Rec Centre invites all to our All you can eat Smelt Fry on Saturday, February 14 from 11 – 4 pm. In addition to smelts, we’re serving potatoes, rolls, homemade pickles, tea or coffee and a piece of homemade blueberry cake with warm brown sugar sauce for $20 per person.

We will be holding our next crib tournament on Sunday, Feb 15, 2026. Registration begins at 12 noon with game starting at 1 pm sharp. $20 registration fee per team. We play a Progressive High Hand of 24 or more for $2 per person and have a 50/50 draw. Everyone over 19 welcome.
