• To help support this great cause, head to your nearest Subway® sandwich shop and purchase a sub, panini or grilled wrap and a 21oz drink on November 3. Subway® will give you a free sandwich AND will donate a meal to Food Banks Canada*

Food Scarcity in Canada

• With more than 550 food banks and 3,000 affiliated programs, Food Banks Canada helps more than 1.7 million Canadians in communities across the country this year
• Canadian food bank usage is up 28 per cent since 2008
• Food Banks Canada is committed to increasing its users’ access to fresh foods. Currently, 40 per cent all foods distributed through the foodbank are perishable items
