Canada day activities in Miramichi and surrounding area

July 1

10 am  – 3 pm: Party in the Park featuring the flag raising, cake, face painting, live music and balloon man.

1 pm: Canada Day Parade leaving the former Harkins property, south onto Newcastle Blvd., down on to Pleasant Street and ending at the former Miramichi Mall. Register your float at: shopdowntownnewcastle.com.

11 am – 2 pm: Canada Day in Richelieu Municipal Park with live music, canteen, BBQ, face painting, mini-farm, family games and bouncy castles.

7-11 am: Breakfast at St. Raphael’s (105 Main Street/$10 for adults, $6 for children)

12-2 pm: Strawberry Social at St. Raphael’s CWL (105 Main Street/$8)

3 pm: Canada Day Parade from the Fire Hall to the Blackville Municipal Park.

After the parade, the fun continues at Blackville Park with: A jumping castle, foam machine, BBQ, cotton candy and free cake for everyone!

8 am – noon: Sunny Corner Firefighter Club hosting their annual pancake breakfast at the fire hall at 30 Tozer Lane.
