DESCRIPTION: \n  \n  \n  \n  \nAlzheimer Society and Investors Group partner to rebrand \nlargest fundraiser for Canadians living with dementia –  \nInvestors Group Walk for Alzheimer’s \n  \nNew Brunswick\, May 24 2018 – The Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick is pleased to welcome Investors Group as its title sponsor for the Walk for Alzheimer’s\, the Society’s annual nation-wide fundraiser to support people living with dementia and their caregivers and raise funds for local programs and services. This year’s newly branded Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer’s takes place on May 27 in fifteen different locations across New Brunswick\, registration opens at noon and the walk will begin at 1:00 pm.  More than 15\,000 people in New Brunswick are living with dementia and this number continues to grow. Currently\, there are no cures or effective treatments to delay or stop the disease. That’s why it’s imperative to ensure funding for programs\, services and other resources to help those affected live as independently as possible\, and with the best possible quality of life. Chandra MacBean\, Executive Director of ASNB shares “This event is much more than a fundraising event – in addition to raising much-needed funds\, the Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer’s also helps to raise awareness\, and bring together a community of support united in our collective desire to impact change.” \n“Investors Group is proud to support the Alzheimer Society and their outstanding efforts to improve the quality of life for Canadian families living with dementia\,” says Jeff Carney\, President and CEO of Investors Group and IGM Financial. “We all know someone touched by this disease.
