SUMMARY:3rd annual MEMORIAL WALK of COURAGE
DESCRIPTION:The Miramichi Community Suicide Prevention Committee is hosting their 3rd annual MEMORIAL WALK of COURAGE on Sunday\, September 10th in observance of World Suicide Prevention Day from 2 to 5 pm.  \n This year we are also hosting also hosting a Treasure Hunt of HOPE for children and their families from 2 to 3:30 pm. \n At 3:30 we will be forming a HUMAN LINK of support around the town square and a minute of silence in memory of those we have lost to suicide.  \n The GOAL of the WALK of COURAGE and the TREASURE HUNT OF HOPE is to promote awareness and encourage family members and friends to speak openly about suicide.  \n We also invite all INDIVIDUALS and FAMILIES to light a candle in the Town Fountain in memory of their loved one and in support of suicide prevention.  \n Participants are encouraged to bring and display pictures of their loved one who passed by suicide at the Jeffery Landry memorial table where memorial glow rocks will be available as keepsakes. \n In addition\, we invite community members in support of obtaining a suicide safety fence on the Centennial to sign our petition. \n
