SUMMARY:175th anniversary of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint John
DESCRIPTION:“OUR BEGINNINGS” celebrating the 175th anniversary of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint John will take place this coming Saturday\, June 3\, at Saint Peter’s & Saint Paul’s Parish in Bartibogue where it all began. \nThe day will start off with a Sweet Grass Ceremony at 7am followed by a breakfast. There will be presentations by people representing the four cultural groups associated with the Catholic Church over the years\, including: First Nations\, Irish\, Acadian and Scottish. Also taking place during the day will be musical entertainment from the Miramichi Talent Pool. There will be a BBQ during the afternoon. There is no cost to attend any and all events. \nThe day will finish up with a Mass\, at 3pm\, celebrated by The Most Reverend Robert Harris\, Bishop of the Diocese of Saint John. \nAll are welcome and encouraged to attend. \n
