DESCRIPTION:Creative Grounds (55 Cunard St.) Saturday May 27th. \nThe art exhibit is ongoing all the day\, and the musical performance begins at 6:30 pm. \nThe musical performance is at 6:30 pm and is a showcase of songs from the locally written production Stillwater: A Musical. Although the production is selling tickets\, the Saturday night of May 27th at Creative Grounds is free admission and showcases the production’s locally written music and is being performed by local artists. \nHere is the original announcement from the show’s director Sam Crowell: \n“[C]ome to Creative Grounds on Saturday\, MAY 27th for a sneak peek of music from the show and an original art exhibit by Hannah Crowell\, featuring work that inspired the show (Stillwater: A Musical) and was created for the musical. Art exhibit is on display ALL DAY at Creative Grounds and performances begin at 6:30 pm! ADMISSION is FREE” \n  \n\nAnd just a bit about the show for content! \n“This play follows the journey of the main character Lilac\, a young woman who is struggling to deal with the realities of increasingly debilitating mental health issues. It offers an honest and exposing glimpse of what persons on such a journey face and seeks to promote education\, awareness and compassion for those facing such struggles. \nStillwater features the talent of local Miramichi rising stars\, Naomi McGowan\, Ally Paradis\, Geoffrey Cormier\, Kaitlyn Frost\, Lauren Sturgeon\, Jack Forrest and introduces Ivory Gadsden\, our youngest cast member\, who is only twelve years old! \nThis musical has been written by Samuel Crowell\, a local Miramichi playwright\, features music by Heather Harvey-Stymiest\, Samuel Crowell and includes a song inspired by the recent loss of her partner’s friend to suicide\, by Ally Paradis. \nThis play is being jointly produced by Buttercup Productions and Double L Productions. It is being co-directed by Samuel Crowell and Lloyd Cameron. \nTickets for the evening performances on Friday\, June 2nd and Saturday\, June 3rd at 7:30 p.m. will be sold at Creative Grounds Café located at 55 Cunard St. Miramichi\, N.B. and at Brookdale Flower Shop located at 488 King St. Miramichi\, N.B.” \n
