The Central New Brunswick Woodmen’s Museum, located in Boiestown, NB, will be hosting a two day “Lumberjack Championships!” on August 17th and 18th, 2019. On Saturday, August 17th, competitors will be busy sharpening their axes and filing their cross-cuts for this one day Professional Lumberjack Championships; which portrays the “skill and technique” of this amazing Sport. This competition will be a sanctioned Maritime Lumberjack Association competition with events begin at 12 noon. A BBQ will be available on site and the day will end with a traditional lumberjack supper (home baked beans, scalloped potatoes, and baked ham). Then, on Sunday, August 18th, “Be a Lumberjack” and experience the thrill of the competition by trying your hand at the axe throw, boom run, and log rolling. Trainers will be on site to coach you on these events.

Darren Casey (7-time Ironjack Champion and a Pro-Lumberjack Log Roller) and his 15-year old daughter Alyssa of Bedford, NS will be doing log rolling demonstrations all weekend.
