Media Release from Miramichi Police Force
On 18-07-26 at 1942hrs the MPF received a request for assistance in locating a 73 year old male who had left his Sutton Road residence on foot several hours earlier.. Officers were advised that this male suffers from dementia. MPF officers using ATV’s and a MPF K9 team were deployed in search of this male. It was unknown as to exactly where this missing male might have headed to. After an initial search did not locate this male, the Miramichi Ground Search and Rescue group was requested to attend to assist. At 0010hrs on 18-07-27, the missing male was located in a wooded area. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and was then transported to Miramichi Hospital for further treatment. The MPF would like to thank the various agencies and everyone else who assisted in locating this person.
