REBECCA SCHOFIELD PASSES AWAY
A Riverview teen whose campaign to spread kindness spread around the world,
has passed away.
Becca Schofield died Saturday night in hospital finally succumbing to a brain
cancer. She was 18.
During her treatment for cancer she went on Twitter asking people to perform
simple acts of kindness and post them to #BeccaToldMe To…..and the response
was overwhelming….not just in Riverview and the Maritimes…but around the
On her Facebook page, her father, Darren, said she passed away at the Moncton
Hospital with family by her side. He thanked those who participated in her
campaign for giving her “strength and courage throughout her journey. He said
those people gave her the profound blessing of knowing in her too short life
that she had made a difference.

RCMP is asking for the public’s help locating a 37-year-old Moncton man.
Michael Maurice Tessier was last seen on St. George Street around noon
Saturday. The Mounties would like to speak with Tessier because of concerns
for his wellbeing. Attempts to locate him have been unsuccessful.
Tessier is described as white, five-foot-ten feet tall weighing 154 pounds.
Tessier has blue eyes and shoulder length light brown hair.
